Welcome to my portfolio.
Here, I hope to highlight the experiences that shape me,
the skills, work and achievements that support my growth
and finally, the direction I aspire to pursue.

My name is Leya Lubarsky.
I am a highly motivated and goal-oriented third-year undergraduate student in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver. Rooted in compassion, integrity, academic excellence and curiosity, it is my mission to make a meaningful difference in the health and quality of life for those affected by chronic disease. My research interests lie in developing personalized nanomedicine strategies to improve the selectivity and reduce the side effects of current skin-related therapies, as well as in creating ex vivo models for yet-to-be cured autoimmune diseases, like Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
